Word 2020 Benefit Raffle
We’ll miss having our Friday night reception this year—and especially the opportunity to thank all of Word’s supporters in person. But to make up for it, we have a special treat. Everyone who donates $10 or more to support Blue Hill’s literary arts festival will be automatically entered for a chance to win an original painting by novelist, celebrated Word headliner, and East Blue Hill resident Jonathan Lethem.
This work, 16” x 20” acrylic on canvas, juxtaposes the cover art for Jonathan’s new novel, The Arrest, with a tribute to a painting of a cormorant that Jonathan bought at a Blue Hill yard sale. It turned out to be the work of Julia Child’s husband, Paul Child. Thank you to Jonathan for this extraordinary gift!
For your chance to win this one-of-a-kind artwork, visit our donation page. Each donation to Word of $10 will give the donor an entry in a drawing to be held after the festival weekend, on October 26. Donors will receive an additional entry for every additional $10 donated, up to 10 entries. You will also receive entries for donations made at the Blue Hill Books web site.
